High Holidays 2017

On behalf of the Beth Am Board of Directors, Clergy and Staff, we wish you a Shana Tovah; a year of good health, joy and blessings!  We are happy you will be joining us in worship and celebration this High Holiday season. We value your participation in building and creating meaningful High Holy Days!

We are delighted that we will be returning to 225 North McHenry Road, the Buffalo Grove Park District Community Arts Center, for our 2017 High Holy Day season.

As in years past, we will be selling tickets to family and friends of members and to non-Beth Am members as well. However, the sanctuary space is theatre-style, and seating is limited.  Our main services are for adults and students 6th grade and up, and tickets will be required for all services except for Family Services on both Rosh Hashanah Evening and on Yom Kippur Evening.  These Family services are free and open to the community ~ so invite your friends to these special services! Please note: there will be childcare offered through Beth Am, for the 9:00am Services only. Forms only available online or in the Temple office.  Once again, a Yizkor service with Rabbi Bellows and Cantorial Soloist Heather Aranyi will immediately follow the Yom Kippur Contemporary service. You will find these services listed on the schedule below.

Please find enclosed, High Holy Day ticket information as well as forms to complete and return to us by August 31st.

If you have questions or would like further information about our High Holy Days, please do not hesitate to call the synagogue office and we will be pleased to assist you.

Please note that there are some changes from last year’s process.  Please take a few moments to carefully read this material and return the remittance form, volunteer form, participation form and Yizkor form by August 31, 2017, so we can ensure that all ticket requests are complete, service parts can be assigned and the Yizkor book is sent to press in a timely manner.  If you want a name included in the Yizkor book it is imperative that the form be turned in to the office by the deadline, Thursday, August 31st as this date represents the printer’s deadline.  Although a supplemental Yizkor list will be printed in-house, no additional names can be accepted after Friday, September 8th.
