Caring Partners was established within CBA many years ago to serve our congregants in need. Specifically, volunteers provided meals when a family member was ill, helped to create a minyan for a shiva service, offered rides to doctors’ appointments, provided a willing ear when someone was lonely, and called and sent cards to acknowledge a birth, marriage, illness or death.
Our volunteer workforce is not as large as it once was, but the intent of Caring Partners remains the same. We are here to help! CBA, and Caring Partners, is your extended family and friendship circle. We are part of your safety net. Today, we continue to provide meals, help to create a minyan for a shiva service, and we continue to call and send cards.
In 2017, we hope to roll out some new programming including a Shabbat hosted by Caring Partners. We are also in discussions with Rabbi Bellows about educational programming related to life cycle events, and creating a compassionate community.
