Do Not Despair:
Spiritual Writers on hope, love and Transformation

In this class we will be reading selections from books, articles and teachings written by people whose life work has been devoted to living a spiritual, connected life of meaning and purpose. They teach us about despair and hope as they lead us towards living a life of courage, resilience and love. Readings will be given ahead of time, and although it is preferable that the weekly material be read before we meet, it is not required.

Torah Study

Saturdays from 10:00-10:45am

We are Studying the Prophets!  In a time of great disease in the world, in an era filled with anxiety, violence and pain, it will be helpful to study the Prophets together on Saturday mornings. In general, the prophets lived during difficult times and as spokespeople for God, they were charged with helping the People of Israel rise-up from their depression, angst and acting in ways that did not serve them. The prophets were men and women who focused on social justice and Tikkun Olam, fixing the world and they have much to say to us, still today.

No experience is necessary and we will explore the Prophets through discussion of the weekly Haftarah portion.
