Today in class we worked on:
9/15 –
1. Reminding ourselves what Kavod is . Discussed the meaning of the following quote: “ Respect other people’s feelings. It might mean nothing to you, but it could mean everything to them.” Roy Bennett .
2. Continued discussing class expectations. Class wrote a Class Brit ( Agreement) which everyone signed.
3. We decorated our Journal books. We made cards for the college boxes.
4. We wrote in our journals about what we think their expectations for the class are or 3 ideas about Kavod(Respect).
5. We had T’fillah and Shira.

9/15 – Remember to bring supplies,, Tzedakah, and box tops.

Today in class we worked on:
9/8 –
1. Introduction to Parents- parents thanks for coming to hear our expectations and what we will study in class this year.
2. Discussion of class expectations and get to know you games.
3. Had a class discussion about what does it mean to be Jewish.
⦁ Read 2 poems about what it means to be Jewish.  One was written by a child who was in a concentration camp. It came from the book, “I Never Saw Another Butterfly,” by Jewish Children in the Concentration Camp Theresienstadt.
⦁ We wrote a short paragraph about what it means to be Jewish.
4.  We had Shira.
